Welcome to Garden Fairy Farm’s new blog! I’m Amanda Larson, the farm’s owner and human representative for the farm’s fairies. I’m working on setting up our new website, but I am also going to get started on posting for our shiny new blog.
Honestly, it’s been a while since I’ve written a blog, but I’ll try to rotate through topics relevant to gardeners and small farmers throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. If there is something you want to know about…well, anything that is happening with your plants or gardening techniques (You’d be amazed how easy it is to get me rambling about almost anything!) don’t hesitate to ask.
I grew up in the garden and have been farming for over twenty years. I’ve volunteered with public gardens and community education on all things plants. But I’m still learning new things every day! I may not know the answer to your question, but I have access to a lot of resources to help us out along the way.
We’ll talk about what’s happening on this farm and nursery, and I look forward to hearing about what you’re planting. I’ll do posts on specific plant species, working with wildlife, sustainable gardening techniques, seasonal activities, and bringing art to your garden.
The first actual post will be coming next week, but in the meantime, enjoy this beautiful rain (my goodness do we need it!) and happy gardening.
