About Garden Fairy Farm

Garden Fairy Farm is a Pacific Northwest farm and nursery located on beautiful Whidbey Island. The nursery is owned and run by Amanda Ann Larson, who is passionate about every kind of plant under the sun.

Most of those plants grow happily in the Pacific Northwest while some others grow here with a little help, because Amanda is a tad bit addicted to borderline plants (okay, she’s a little crazy)… But she’s also very honest in her plant descriptions and will let you know if you are looking at a laid-back companion plant that will grow itself or if you are in for a plant adventure.

A wide variety of plants are grown with love on Garden Fairy Farm, but they all have a few traits in common.

Garden Fairy Farm only sells plants that the new owner can propagate and continue on their own. That means we sell species, open-pollinated, heirlooms, occasionally landraces, and non-restricted hybrids.

Our seeds are all open-pollinated and can be freely propagated, used for breeding, and shared with others.

The hybrids we grow are herbs, sedums, and similar plants that can’t be recreated by sowing seed but can be legally propagated by cuttings.

We never sell hybrid seeds or plants that are currently patented, trademarked, or GMOs (which primarily is only used for commercial food crops).

We are deeply passionate about preserving biodiversity in gardens, protecting native ecosystems, and bringing the joy of gardening to as many adventurous gardeners as possible!
